After finishing his work for the International YCW in 1957, Pat Keegan began to work to establish what later became the World Movement of Christian Workers (WMCW). It was formed by a fusion of a pre-existing organisation known as the Federation Internationale des Mouvements Ouvriers Chrétiens with several other movements.
